The menu bar in Analytics offers multiple options for creating and editing analyses and dashboards:
- DV opens the Data Visualization tool. This tool provides a drag-and-drop interface for creating graphical representations of data.
- Home opens a standard home screen, with options to create, browse/manage, and review recent work. Note that the only Create option available is Analysis and Interactive Reporting. Other options are disabled in Alma Analytics.
- Catalog opens the directory of existing reports and dashboards such as My Folders, Shared Folders > Harvard University. See Folder structure in Alma Analytics - Revision in process page for more information.
- Favorites acts like the Favorites in a browser; add items here that you refer to often.
- Dashboards opens a list of Dashboards that you can run from this menu.
- Create lets you create new objects under the heading Analytics and Interactive Reporting. Note that options under Published Reporting and Actionable Intelligence are not available in Alma Analytics.
- Open lets you quickly open your recent reports.
When you open Alma Analytics for the first time, you will see an empty dashboard. Your dashboard can be customized to display reports that you use on regular basis. See /wiki/spaces/lspp/pages/43784798for more on personalizing your dashboard.
