Enhancement Testing: Library-level patron notifications

Goal

Test to see how Courtesy notices behave if you have multiple items from multiple libraries due on the same day. If 1 notice, no further testing needed, if multiple notices consider testing enhancement.

Steps for Testing

  1. Check out at least 1 item from at least 2 libraries (e.g. 1 item from Gutman and one item from Widener)
  2. Set the due date to 7 days from [TODAY'S DATE]
  3. Notify Kara so that she can "run" the Courtesy notices in Sandbox
  4. Review the notices received
    1. Do you receive 1 notice per library?
    2. Do you receive 1 notice, total, which contains information for both items?

  • Review the notices received
    • Do you receive 1 notice per library?
    • Do you receive 1 notice, total, which contains information for both items?

Andy's Findings

Andy reports that Courtesy notices that he sees in LA have materials from multiple libraries.

Decision

Do not enable enhancement because patrons are already receiving combined emails.
