Present: Adrien, Betts, Lewis, Linda (minutes)

  1. SMG update
    1. Feasibility study discussed - Architects toured all of Houghton areas yesterday.
    2. Bridgette thinking of spring semester hours - No evening or Saturday hours yet. Expect survey sometime in October for preferred hours of PS service. Will be closing RR the half day of Christmas.
    3. Naomi will announce flexwork survey soon.
  2. November Houghton all-staff meeting
    1. October all-staff by PS - discussion of appointment model
    2. November all-staff by TS - ideas?
      1. In-person meeting with munchies (Pusey lobby and tour of TS)
      2. Invite Stu Snyman to talk about his vision on LTS technology (and how it relates to the new Systems and Archives Coordinator position at Houghton)
  3. Feedback from the integrated services meeting
    1. Ideas for future meetings:
      1. Asking task force to schedule meetings for each Houghton unit with corresponding units from the respective repositories (e.g., catalogers with catalogers, archivists with archivists, etc.).
      2. Buy-in and morale boosters - articles
  4. Under table bins - Pusey foyer
    1. Organization idea from Vicki and Michael P. - Have a bin on wheels. Will coordinate with Lewis to order the bin.
  5. STW update - Project is moving forward; Meg has supervisor’s meeting next week. Naomi would like the student to be here on Mondays and Wednesdays. Likely to start the week of or the week after Thanksgiving.  Hours will most likely be 3:00-5:00 or 3:30-5:00 two days a week. Vicki is a good resource for her past experience; Joey from HCTW can also provide resources.
  6. Molly to meet with Meg regarding the acquisitions process next week.
  7. Alma TS Working Group - HL/HCL asking for SC representation; Lewis volunteered.
  8. Special Collections Cataloger position posted.
